SICIM is a Construction Company established in 1962 and offering all types of services related to the installation of pipelines and relevant ancillary facilities for the transmission and distribution of oil, gas and water on an international basis.SICIM has a position opening for a Lead of the Electrical Engineering Department to support our Engineering Activities on EPC projects worldwide based in Milan.The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:Responsible for the electrical engineering design work on assigned projectsProvide leadership for the other electrical engineers in our Power teamWork with Project Engineers and Project Managers on developing workload forecasts, design schedules, and budgets for electrical engineering work activitiesFunction as the "Engineer of Record" on projectsPerform Power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protective coordination, arc flash analysis)Provide technical support for business development activities such as developing proposalsPrepare one-line and three-line diagramsConduct arc-flash hazard calculations to determine arc-flash boundaries and required PPEDevelop protective relay and metering one-line / three-line diagramsCreate panel layouts and equipment layouts with sectional viewsPrepare connection diagrams and bill of materialsDevelop cable schedulesDevelop construction and equipment specificationsSupport projects during construction, start-up, and commissioningConduct grounding analysis and designReview engineering work performed by peersConduct client and site field visitsLevel-specific responsibilities:Serve as lead engineer / engineer of record on mid-to-large size projects and programsProvide senior management with project updates/team development issues as neededSupervise engineering staffProvide technical expertise for studies and design effortsPresent complex technical solutions to clientsPerform quality control reviews of work developed by othersParticipate in the development of technical proposalsProvide estimates for the engineering budget and scheduleRequisitiBachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringA minimum of 8 years of relevant Transmission and Distribution engineering experienceWillingness to travel occasionallyAble to participate in field walks and create field sketches, take dimensions, climb ladders, etc.
as necessaryExperience supervising a team of electrical engineersExpert familiarity with industry codes and standardsPrepared drawings, specifications, and calculations involved in at least two (2) major high voltage substation projects (detailed design)Performed detailed QA/QC engineering deliverable reviewsPreferred Qualifications:Strong written and verbal skills with an ability to lead engineering tasks12+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience with at least five (5) years leading electrical engineering projectsExperience on full EPC, Design/Build projects from start to finishPlant Startup and Commissioning Field knowledgePower systems analysis software experience (SKM, EasyPower, Etap)Functioned as the "Engineer of Record" on at least two (2) projectsExperience working in collaborative 3D model environments (e.g.
