Chiesi Global Rare Diseases

Chiesi Global Rare Diseases is a Chiesi Group’s business unit established in February 2020 and focused on research, development and commercialization of treatments and patient support services for rare and ultra-rare disorders, many of whom have limited or no treatments available.

The unit is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, and has an initial focus on research and product development for lysosomal storage diseases, rare hematology and ophthalmology disorders. The unit is also a dedicated partner with global leaders in scientific research, patient advocacy and care.

Purpose

We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Assistant to join and support the GRD Shared Service team, reporting to the GRD Shared Service Coordinator.
The incumbent will be focused mainly in supporting the R&D team in a global environment, working cooperatively with Head of GRD R&D and GRD R&D team in conjunction with all other GRD functions and Corporate R&D functions; interacting with GRD functions in the countries, coordinating global R&D large team meetings, liaising with external stakeholders including HCP and HCO for activities arrangements, contracts managements and projects development.

Main Responsibilities
Act as point of reference for GRD R&D team supporting them in the daily activities
Enhance quick and effective communication and information sharing across GRD R&D team cross functional activities with the other functions in the BU, leveraging digital tools to set and monitor recurring Meetings and Calls and manage common repositories and project material;
Gather inputs from GRD R&D first line on specific initiatives and ensure the preparation of all the internal and external documentation according to internal procedures
Monitor ongoing initiatives and ensure deadlines and expectations are met;
Lead specific project initiatives and work cooperatively with other team members to guarantee the deployment of support activities;
Ensure that administrative tasks are run efficiently and effectively, according to company procedures and policies, using SAP;
Prepare consultancy agreements
Support the organization of Advisory Boards, Workshops and Seminars
Manage and preserve administrative documentation
Schedule and arrange function meetings
Travel Management and travel booking including expense reports for GRD R&D first line
Interact with GRD R&D project leaders to support them in activities schedule and coordination
Experience Required

Previous working experience is nice to have but not mandatory

Languages

Fluent in English is a must.

Technical Skills

Excellent office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc )
