**About the job**:
The position is centered around the global management of taps product category in the Home Solutions Division. Global means thereby foremost North America, Europe, China and Australia.

Under the category of taps, we currently have multiple solutions for the kitchens: side lever taps, top lever taps, dual levers taps & semiprofessional taps.

The position is a part of the central category management and will report to the head of taps. The owner of the position “Global Category Manager Taps” has thereby full autonomy of the category but under the guidance of the direct manager. The position can also count on the support of a broad country cluster product management organization in terms of a dedicated product manager for each of the eight country clusters and on a central purchasing team.

The roles and responsibilities are to define and develop the global product portfolio, driving the product lifecycle management and the innovation roadmap.

**Your tasks**:

- Develops & executes the taps strategy and its underlying business model globally
- Build a Category Strategy / Roadmap which captures all market and product needs coming from cluster organization & market insights
- Achieves a higher sales growth than market growth, i.e. allowing us to gain market shares in the relevant price segments and sales channels
- Manages the taps category independently but also with a strong link to the product categories “Taps”, “sinks” and “CMF” (color, material & finishes) in order to build true system approach in the food preparation area
- Manages the product roadmap and product portfolio (i.e. introduction, product lifecycle & margin management) along the seven-stage new product development process including marketing story development, training support and price recommendations (value based pricing)
- Key topics are thereby: a) Strict & global portfolio management (i.e. fewer product lines but complete product line depth) (portfolio structure), b) Idea generation (innovation), c) Pushing the Franke brand in the focus price segments High & Mid (distinctive designs), d) Sales & marketing input generation (the why of the product line)
- Captures market insights from customers & cluster organizations and leads the idea generation process across the organization with the goal of being ahead of competition
- Shares best practice across other product categories, marketing and clusters

**Requirements**:

- Strong product management experience of at least > 5 years in multinational company, technical experience in taps category is a plus
- Work experience in the water treatment industry and understanding of the Kitchen product category in relations to trends, market players and technical aspects on a global scale are a plus
- Have led mega projects, product introductions with cross-functional teams & direct team leadership
- Solid experience in managing products through the entire life cycle.
- Transformed a category from core business to double-size / scale.
- Interest in understanding the underlying manufacturing processes in order to drive the category to faster time to market and margin improvements and being a challenger to external suppliers
- Very effective communicator towards internal markets and external suppliers
- Very strong analytical and structured mindset, priority setting.
- Very strong project management skills in the sense of a) internal team management, b) external suppliers, c) external design agencies and d) operational project execution
- Strong customer orientation (internal & external)
- Very strong team player and used to work with different departments at the same time
- Entrepreneurial mindset in the sense of getting things executed instead of large theoretical exercises
- Natural open mindset to new ideas linked to a desire to push boundaries
- Proficient in all MS Office Applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
