To strengthen its global Internal Audit Team, MSC Cruises is recruiting an Internal Audit Manager at newly created Internal Audit Office in Genoa.

Within the Advisory & Audit department, the Internal Audit function performs independent and objective audits and proactively works with MSC Cruises Management in identifying risks, evaluating controls and making recommendations that promote the efficient and effective use of Company assets and resources. As a part of the Internal Audit team, you will be responsible for assessing the integrity and accuracy of all operational and financial processes and performing audits on a worldwide scope (including onboard MSC Cruises vessels).
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering or similar
- CIA\/CISA or other relevant certification is a plus
- Written and spoken proficiency in English; other languages are considered a plus
- 8+ years of professional experience preferably gained both within a Big4 or Consulting firm and an internal audit department of large organizations
- Ability to exercise professional scepticism and judgment while evaluating risks and controls
- Personal initiative and interest to add value to a complex and challenging work environment and able to meet demanding timelines
- Process mapping skills
- Self-awareness and emotional intelligence
- Expected 30-40% of business travel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc), data analysis tool skills is considered a plus
- Managing and coordinating the audit engagements in line with the annual risk-based audit plan
- Managing and independently performing operational, compliance and financial audit engagements onboard MSC Cruises vessels and ashore Offices
- Assessing the control deficiencies and providing beneficial recommendations
- Producing high-quality audit reports, identifying key issues and remediations for improvement. Discuss and agree with relevant management level the corrective actions
- Conducting Walkthroughs of the business processes and supporting operational teams in creating related process documentation and flow charts
- Performing the annual risk assessment and identifying the key risk areas within the company
- Performing ad-hoc audits, as assigned by Advisory & Audit Department and provide support to the function as needed and requested
- Monitoring and follow-up agreed action plans implementation with the business owners and MSC Cruises management
- Formalizing presentations for top management on recommendation status and results
