Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled EMEA Head of Architecture and Store Facility to join our dynamic team in Milan. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing the entire process of store openings and projects, from due-diligence to layout definition, and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Prepare feasibility studies and due diligence reports to evaluate locations, estimate budgets, and timings;
  2. Collaborate with the Legal Department to define and analyze contracts;
  3. Collect start-up information from corporate and local parties to develop designs in accordance with company and department standards;
  4. Coordinate with global design teams to prepare and review designs in all phases of the projects;
  5. Organize and facilitate regional reviews with internal and external parties;
  6. Manage and report project costs and scheduling developments in accordance with regional and global guidelines;
  7. Organize and manage all pertinent consultants for necessary documentation for construction, permitting, and compliance;
  8. Manage procurement and orders of all necessary materials and equipment;
  9. Review project-related documentation to ensure compliance and consistency with design, contractual, and compliance standards;
  10. Supervise and coordinate all architectural and construction activities involved with the renovation or creation of new stores;
  11. Perform periodic factory and site inspections to ensure compliance of production and developments;
  12. Facilitate handover to the retail team and provide necessary support for the successful openings/completion of the projects;
  13. Manage and archive necessary documentation for the various phases of the project;
  14. Support regional and global analysis and strategies;
  15. Collaborate and review Facility and Maintenance plan formulation & progress;
  16. Coordinate with the Facility Department on store network developments;
  17. Facilitate training on the evolution of store design and developments;
  18. Responsible for consolidating Facility and Maintenance reporting to the Regional CEO.
Requirements
  1. Degree in Architecture or Engineering;
  2. 8-10 years of experience in a similar position and in luxury retail;
  3. Languages: Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken;
  4. Excellent scheduling skills with experience in project phasing and project rollouts;
  5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills;
  6. Able to work independently, but also collaboratively with cross-functional teams;
  7. Multitasking, able to quickly shift from design creativity to admin/management;
  8. Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and attention to detail and deadline-oriented;
  9. Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD;
  10. Excellent understanding of design drawings and project documentation;
  11. Knowledge of standard quality for means, methods, and materials in construction and millwork required for a luxury environment;
  12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  13. Frequent travel required.
