Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Aerospace Engineer with expertise in product assurance and safety to support the ISS Columbus module. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations support and experience working with international teams. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting preparation and participation in real-time operations during on-orbit activities and troubleshooting failures
  • Collaborating with ESA Safety Review Panel (ESRP) and ESA Operations Safety
  • Coordinating with the Columbus Flight Control Team for all aspects related to Safety of Operations
  • Participating in periodic meetings with NASA to share information and knowledge on actual Operations situation on board the ISS
  • Reviewing and inputting to Operational products defined in preparation and during operations phase (Flight Notes, Chits, procedures, etc.)

Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for system and payloads operational procedures review, anomalies management and resolution coordination, and participation in periodical meetings with NASA Safety representatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent and fluency in English (spoken/written). Previous experience in Operations support and/or Product Assurance/Safety departments will be considered as a plus.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of approximately 80,000-100,000 euros per annum, depending on experience. Benefits include console and training on the job at ALTEC premises, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development in a multinational environment.

Salary: €85,000 - €105,000 per year
