Role Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Patient Journey Specialist (PJS) to enhance our expanding global commercial team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in establishing and nurturing relationships with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), providing education on various disease states, and facilitating initiatives aimed at improving patient diagnosis and management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary field-based medical representative for Ascendis Medical Affairs, enhancing the company's visibility within the scientific community and promoting awareness of relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with healthcare professionals and key organizations to support collaborative patient care initiatives.
  • Deliver impactful medical and scientific presentations to stakeholders, and assist at medical congresses and events, including onboarding and training for new team members.
  • Collect and disseminate insights regarding disease states, the Ascendis portfolio, and competitor activities to internal teams.
  • Foster strong cross-functional relationships, support the development and execution of strategic objectives, and maintain high levels of medical expertise while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and corporate policies.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree in a Health Science field, with experience in a pharmaceutical company in a Field Clinical/Medical role.
  • Experience in pediatric endocrinology, endocrinology, or rare diseases is preferred.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific and clinical information effectively in both Italian and English.

Travel Requirements: This position involves significant travel, estimated at over 80%.
