POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Culinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in the preparation, regeneration, and presentation of meals within your designated kitchen area. Your responsibilities will include adhering to established quality standards and recipes, with a focus on creativity, composition, seasoning, and presentation to ensure guest satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the preparation of dishes under the guidance of your supervisor, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in cold storage and kitchen areas.
  • Ensure all necessary equipment and ingredients are available for your tasks, minimizing waste.
  • Follow all hygiene and safety protocols while preparing food.
  • Report any issues or anomalies to your supervisor promptly.
  • Comply with HACCP standards as outlined by the company.

CUSTOMER SERVICE FOCUS

  • Understand and embody the brand philosophy, ensuring a personalized experience for guests.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Promote hotel services and events to enhance guest experiences.

HEALTH & SAFETY

  • Familiarize yourself with the hotel's safety protocols and evacuation plans.
  • Use personal protective equipment correctly and understand the risks associated with your role.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree or higher qualification in Tourism or Culinary Arts.
  • Proficiency in the local language and advanced English.
  • Knowledge of food handling, hygiene, and safety practices.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within 4 and 5-star hotels.
