**Job Summary**

Alstom is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Architect to join our Traffic Management System (TMS) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex systems that meet the requirements of our clients.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Methodically analyze input needs to design solutions that meet requirements
  • Develop formal models of system design and write requirements
  • Define external and internal interfaces of the system to promote standardization
  • Update system documentation at operational, functional, and constructional levels
  • Take ownership of design solutions, from supporting validation and verification teams to following up with software teams

**Requirements**

  • Master's degree in engineering or a related scientific field
  • Specific domain knowledge in mainline railway signalling (not mandatory but a key factor, especially in TMS/CTC areas)
  • Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) and SysML knowledge (bonus for System Engineering Certification)
  • Software engineering experience with 3 or more years of working experience in complex systems within the last 10 years
  • Understanding of structured requirements management
  • Knowledge of CENELEC EN50126 and EN50128 European norms (preferable)
  • Mandatory English language fluency (bonus for French)

  • Ability to read and write documents, even for pre-existing matters
  • Analytical approach and ability to anticipate impacts of different design choices
  • Capacity to cooperate with other teams to gain a wide system understanding and foster system improvements and evolutions
  • Comfortable working with complex systems in a variable environment
  • Availability for job trips in Italy and abroad
