Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at ABB Schweiz AG. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of our cloud-based systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, with experience in designing and implementing cloud platforms, productivity platforms, and cloud-based solutions. Proficiency in Azure services such as AKS, Azure Networking, Azure Security Center, and Azure Monitor is essential. Additionally, experience with identity and access management solutions, including Azure Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, and Azure AD Conditional Access, is highly desirable.

We are looking for a collaborative and innovative individual who can work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in cloud computing are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Develop automation scripts and workflows using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting languages to streamline deployment, management, and maintenance tasks.
  • Implement and manage connectivity services, including network security and connectivity to Azure resources.
  • Integrate and configure Microsoft and third-party applications within the modern workplace environment, ensuring seamless interoperability and user experience.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance and reliability of modern workplace solutions, leveraging Azure monitoring and analytics tools.
  • Document design decisions, configurations, and procedures related to modern workplace solutions, and share knowledge with internal teams and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud platforms, productivity platforms, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Proficiency in Azure services such as AKS, Azure Networking, Azure Security Center, and Azure Monitor.
  • Experience with identity and access management solutions, including Azure Active Directory, Azure AD Connect, and Azure AD Conditional Access.
