Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Security Administrator to join our team at CMCC Foundation. As a key member of our systems engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to meet our research objectives and service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Design and Implementation: Configure and manage network devices, including firewalls, routers, switches, and other equipment, to ensure the security and efficiency of our operations.
  • Network Monitoring and Performance: Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues to ensure optimal system availability and reliability.
  • Network Security: Maintain network security policies, ensure compliance with current regulations, and collaborate with our security team to select and implement security tools and procedures.
  • Incident Response: Promptly respond to security incidents, conduct incident analysis, and prepare response plans to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes made, and incidents managed, and generate periodic reports on monitoring activities and identified risks.
Requirements
  • Education: M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other scientific disciplines.
  • Technical Skills: Good knowledge of network protocols, including ISO/OSI architecture, TCP/IP stack, IPv6, IGP and EGP routing, QoS, and Ethernet protocols.
  • Operating Systems: Good knowledge of operating systems for network equipment, including NVIDIA Cumulus OS and Cisco IOS.
  • Programming Languages: Good knowledge of programming languages, including Python.
  • Automation Tools: Good knowledge of automation tools, including Ansible.
  • Monitoring and Diagnostic Tools: Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
  • Linux Systems: Good knowledge of Linux systems and network services administration.
  • Scripting Languages: Good knowledge of scripting languages, including *nix shell.
Desirable Skills
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience with configuring and installing various network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and QoS.
  • Security Tools: Hands-on experience with selecting and implementing security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with our security team.
  • Fluency in English: Fluency in English is required.
