ROLE OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The individual selected for this position will oversee the creative development of both proprietary and licensed brands, integrating physical and digital visibility strategies (both seasonal and permanent), along with all trade marketing resources for the wholesale sector.

This role aims to optimize the efficiency of developing comprehensive tools that respond to market demands while adhering to a sustainable approach and meeting critical timelines for market launches.

A creative mindset and project management skills in visual merchandising are essential for producing innovative and current materials, alongside a strong understanding of the luxury eyewear wholesale market to effectively cater to diverse retail environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing creative thinking to collaborate with a network of trusted agencies to produce high-visibility executions in relevant markets and optimal timings to enhance marketing campaigns and seasonal promotions (Sun/Optical).
  • Monitoring project progress against deliverables and milestones, providing status updates, and addressing any issues as they arise.
  • Maintaining comprehensive project documentation (including master data and timelines).
  • Building strong relationships with:
    • Corporate Brand and Business Brand Management teams to ensure alignment with brand identity, business, and marketing objectives while acquiring brand assets for each campaign.
    • WHS Regional teams to incorporate market insights into the creative process and oversee in-store execution.
    • Licensing teams.
    • Point of Purchase Supply Chain.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES:

  • Creative Briefs: Develop materials design briefs and manage the approval process, integrating digital elements where feasible, while respecting and enhancing brand identity and showcasing products.
  • Sustainability Focus: Create tools utilizing sustainable and/or recycled materials.
  • Visibility Calendar: Design a calendar that aligns with brand advertising campaigns and seasonal trends in the Sun/Optical categories.
  • Timeline Management: Ensure that materials are available in the market in accordance with brand campaigns, product launches, peak seasons, and market schedules.
  • Budget Guidelines: Establish brand budget parameters to align coverage tools with local budgets and brand expectations.
  • Market Understanding: Gain in-depth knowledge of market needs to ensure appropriate execution aligned with overall corporate guidelines.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders (Corporate Brand Team, Licensing teams, Point of Purchase Supply Chain, Procurement).
  • Quarterly Reviews: Manage quarterly trade marketing and business reviews with licensing partners.

INTERNAL: Corporate Brand team and Business Brand Manager team; WHS Regional Team; Point of Purchase Supply Chain Team; Procurement team.

EXTERNAL: Licensing partners, Suppliers, Graphic/Creative Agencies.

TECHNICAL SKILLS - IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Experience in Marketing (Communication, Brand Management, Product).
  • Background in Visual Merchandising and Retail Store Experience.
  • Expertise in Consumer Journey and Partnership Programs.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Project Management skills: highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects within a matrixed organization, results-oriented, with creative problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills: proficient in project presentations and interpersonal relationships, with a focus on teamwork.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Knowledge in economics, business development, and budget management.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to produce compelling summary documents for senior management.
  • Familiarity with design software such as Illustrator and Photoshop is an advantage.
