About the Role

Awin is seeking a highly skilled Data Product Owner to join our team. As a key member of our Data Services department, you will be responsible for implementing data integration methodologies, identifying data quality issues, and improving data quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and document requirements for data cloud storage solutions and data projects
  • Develop business and technical specifications to translate data projects into actionable plans
  • Manage data and machine learning projects, overseeing engineering work to ensure timely implementation and removal of impediments
  • Communicate with business stakeholders to ensure a smooth flow of information and updates
  • Enhance data integration procedures and ensure data quality, accuracy, and readiness for reporting purposes
  • Proactively identify and collect additional data sources to improve machine learning solutions
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, sharing knowledge in data science, data profiling, and SQL proficiency
  • Execute analytical experiments to inform business decisions across various business units
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of analytics tools and in-house reporting (Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure tech stack (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, ADLS, Azure Event Hub, Azure SQL DB)
  • Strong understanding of scrum practices and agile mindset
  • Strong experience with machine learning (ML framework/libraries) and predictive modeling
  • Strong foundation in statistical procedures for accurate data analysis
