Job Summary

Applied Materials is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to support our customers and team in Agrate Brianza, Italy. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage equipment performance and supply spare parts in a timely manner.
  • Implement and guarantee all levels of preventative and corrective maintenance within established timelines.
  • Support troubleshooting activities and resolve technical issues on equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues through understanding of software and process data as needed.
  • Perform upgrades and retrofits on equipment.
  • Ensure that the team applies correct procedures and checklists for maintenance, both corrective and preventive.
  • Understand and implement correct work methodologies and procedures as per company and customer quality standards.
  • Anticipate and respond to equipment issues and escalations in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate and communicate with company stakeholders.
  • Participate in internal and customer meetings.
  • Assist management in operation of site service business and assist in establishing and achieving objectives for assigned account.
  • Keep field management informed on customer perception of system performance.
  • Takes initiative to avoid and resolve customer problems.
Requirements:
  • Technical Diploma or University Degree.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of work experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Outlook.
  • Additional skills in industrial automation, problem-solving through software analysis, software coding, and server administration are a plus.
