About the Role

HITACHI ENERGY SPAIN, S.A.U. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Installation & Commissioning Management Professional to join our Grid Integration Business Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading engineering teams and ensuring the delivery of projects on time, in full.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Technical Leadership
    Provide direction to engineering teams, focusing on safety, on-time delivery, quality, and margin improvement.
  2. Customer and Sales
    Build and maintain customer relationships, seeking feedback and providing innovative solutions to meet customer requirements.
  3. Contract Management
    Oversee contractual work within your area of responsibility, conducting regular progress reviews and identifying and managing contractual risks.
  4. Planning and Control
    Ensure engineering teams are adequately resourced, developed, and equipped to meet business needs, overseeing the planning and control process.
  5. Risk and Opportunity Management
    Create and implement plans to ensure business risks are identified and managed, opportunities maximized.
  6. Supply Chain Management
    Collaborate with the Supply Chain function to ensure correct suppliers, services, and equipment are available to support engineering execution.
  7. Technical Leadership and Development
    Facilitate best practice sharing within the engineering team.
  8. Processes and Tools
    Initiate and drive continuous improvement activities, developing, implementing, and improving relevant processes, policies, and procedures.
  9. People Leadership and Development
    Ensure the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled, and directed, guiding, motivating, coaching, and developing employees.
  10. Finance and Budget
    Create financial plans and budget estimates for the unit/business area, overseeing adherence to these plans and estimates.

Your Background

  • 8-10 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills, highly impactful and influential.
  • International experience in complex organizations is a plus.
  • Operational and site management background.
  • Global travel availability (20%).
  • Experience in Grid sector is a plus.
  • Fluent in English.
