Data Center Engineer Job Description

At Salute, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Engineer to join our team in Milan. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the reliability and efficiency of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance, daily corrective work, and respond to emergency issues.
  • Provide expert technical support and guidance to onsite Multi-Skilled Operators and third-party vendors.
  • Monitor and analyze data center performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Collaborate with the Site Manager and other stakeholders to develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
Requirements:
  • Technical trade school degree in HVAC or electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data center operations, installation, and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, and chillers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
