Job Title: Junior Data Center Facilities Engineer

At Salute, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Data Center Facilities Engineer to join our team in Milan. As a key member of our data center operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities, including electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance on equipment, including generators, UPSs, and cooling systems
  • Respond to emergency situations and troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Work closely with senior colleagues and vendors to resolve service-affecting incidents and outages
  • Provide comprehensive data center white space support for IT infrastructure, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Generate reports on service requests, problem management, and backup statistics
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven track record of success and delivering results
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift 18-23kgs (40-50lbs) on a regular basis
