Your Opportunity

The role entails overseeing the formulation and execution of sourcing strategies and supplier management for designated expenditure categories. Engage in sourcing initiatives for a specific portfolio of spend categories at both global and local levels to attain commodity objectives and ensure adherence to Group strategy, thereby enhancing overall performance and profitability for the organization.

Your Mission

Formulate and execute short- and mid-term global commodity strategies for designated expenditure categories, focusing on strategic areas by conducting and consolidating diverse and complex analyses (spending, cost breakdown) and assessing business continuity. Establish the annual savings forecast, identifying risks and opportunities. Responsible for managing tenders (RFQ) for the assigned commodities. Negotiate agreements with both global and local suppliers, covering aspects such as lists, quality standards, pricing, discount rates, duration, delivery timelines, and commercial terms and conditions. Conduct supplier base management activities, ensuring the completion of contracting tasks, financial risk assessments, non-quality cost recovery, supplier visits, and disengagement processes. Manage supplier relationships at a global level, monitoring KPI trends and implementing necessary corrective actions. Actively engage with suppliers to enhance productivity, meet quality standards, and implement actions to mitigate risks. Effectively manage escalated issues impacting execution. Identify new suppliers to align with the category strategy and lead the qualification process to develop a unique and sustainable supplier base. Analyze assigned expenditure categories. For relevant commodities (cost, strategic importance, etc.), monitor the market through continuous benchmarking and/or cost breakdown analysis to improve costs, quality, delivery, and technology; escalate significant non-conformities. Conduct business continuity assessments, including financial risk evaluations, supplier dependency analysis, and capacity assessments with dual sourcing considerations.

Your Profile

Education and Languages:

Minimum Education: Master's Degree in Engineering is preferred; Business or Economics is also acceptable. Proficiency in English is mandatory (both written and spoken). Fluency in French, Italian, and/or Chinese is advantageous.

Required Experience and Skills:

At least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing within an international manufacturing environment; experience in Indirect Services Sourcing is preferred and considered advantageous. Background in international negotiation, contracting, and claim management. Exceptional negotiation and communication skills are essential for interacting with both suppliers and internal stakeholders across various hierarchical levels. Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.); knowledge of SAP is a plus. Experience outside of one's country of origin is beneficial. Target-oriented, resilient, and capable of working independently.
