Product Assurance Specialist Job Description

 

D-Orbit is a pioneering company in the field of space logistics and transportation, established in 2011. We are seeking a talented Product Assurance Specialist to join our Product Assurance team, who will support the product assurance and safety of our platforms. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the quality of our assigned projects, composed of both platforms and services. You will report to the Head of Product Assurance.

 

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of proven experience in managing space product assurance activities in multiple complex projects, including experience with institutions. You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and implementing general and project-specific programmatic and technical documentation, as well as requirements starting from the applicable product and quality assurance baseline.
  • Performing tailoring and statement of compliance on externally provided project requirements.
  • Providing support to Product Assurance deliverables status within specific projects and related RIDs and AIs from the Customer.
  • Ensuring compliance of products and services with respect to internal and external standards and requirements.
  • Supporting technology roadmaps managing quality aspects.
  • Working in synergy with project leading team providing PA&S support.
  • Monitoring and reporting about subcontractor and supplier quality to ensure compliance with applicable requirements; this may include auditing activities.
  • Supporting the establishment and the implementation of standards and best practices in the product and quality assurance field.
  • Supporting the implementation of the configuration management system on D-Orbit projects.
  • Supporting non-conformances management through root cause analysis.

 

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of proven experience in managing space product assurance activities in multiple complex projects.
  • Experience on PA&S topics within Space projects.
  • Experience working with Space institutional customers.
  • Experience with Space Quality Standards (and Space Standards in general), their implementation and of the space industry in general.
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks to comply with project schedule.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Capability of working in autonomy as well as in team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team setting to meet tight schedules.
  • Bachelor or higher engineering degree, in any relevant area such as electronic, aerospace or mechanical/materials engineering.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EN9100 standard.
  • Experience working with requirements management tool.
  • Knowledge of any topics within configuration management, quality auditing or certification.

 

Language

Full professional proficiency of English language is mandatory, any other language is a plus, Italian is an asset.
