Unlock Your Potential as a Service Sales Specialist
As a Service Sales Specialist, you will be part of our Grid Automation Service Team, providing innovative solutions for substation automation systems, control and protection, cyber security, communication, and related technology. Our team is highly motivated and customer-focused, with a strong service-oriented approach. We strive to deliver high-quality service, aligning our solutions with customers' needs.
You will have an engineering background and be a qualified engineer, able to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally with customers. You will be able to discuss technical engineering solutions to a non-technical audience, ensuring they understand the concepts and benefits of our service offerings. As a subject matter expert, you will represent Hitachi Energy to senior stakeholders, using your influence and research skills to identify new business opportunities for new and existing clients within your targeted portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Face-to-face and/or remote sales to new or existing customers.
- Availability to travel to reach customers, with a focus on southern Italy and/or Hitachi Energy sites.
- Assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services, and/or solutions.
- Influencing tender specifications and decisions that impact market share and financial results.
- Identifying and driving growth areas, strategies, and market approaches.
- Establishing, building, and maintaining long-term customer relationships to increase market penetration and decrease Company risks.
- Planning, developing, and delivering marketing strategies for products/services and associated brands.
- Evaluating, measuring, and managing product/brand P&L.
- Providing customer service and support, including information on product/price and resolution to issues related to billing, shipping, delivery, complaints, etc.
- Collaborating with the wider Hitachi team and working independently.
Requirements
- An engineering background and experience in industrial/technical customer contact, with tendering background a plus.
- Experience ideally within the energy sector or similar.
- Motivation and determination.
- Comfortable working with personal goals and sales targets.
- Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English.
- Following standard processes and procedures, including updating records.
- A customer-oriented mindset and comfort with budgets and cost calculations.
- Preferably based in Sicily.
