About the Location

Our historic Hotel in Florence is a tranquil oasis in the heart of the city, with a Michelin-starred Italian restaurant and a locally inspired Spa where you can indulge in pure luxury. As a Shift Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards of quality.

About the Role

The Shift Engineer is responsible for diagnosing and providing service and repairs to hotel equipment, responding to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons' policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs.
  • Diagnose and handle all repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers, and associated equipment throughout the entire building.
  • Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in rooms or public areas in a timely manner.
  • Be familiar with all emergency procedures and respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.
  • Clean all stations in Engineering, grease traps, plumbing stoppages, and maintain an organized department and hotel.
  • Install or relocate any additional equipment or existing equipment when necessary.
  • Assist with energy conservation programs in the hotel.
  • Install electrical and mechanical systems for renovations, outlet additions, and associated equipment and provide electrical set-ups for exhibits, including maintenance of those set-ups.
  • Where required, assist with training to all department staff to ensure efficient operation, proper maintenance, and repair to equipment.
Requirements
  • A minimum of one year experience in a similar position.
  • Good interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality, and a can-do approach to any request.
  • Requires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance and basic ability to operate computer equipment.
  • Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the Italian language. Proficiency in English is a plus.
  • Legal right to work in Italy.
