Job Description

International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Administrative Services Division to lead its global operational services. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and managing the division, serving on IFAD's and Corporate Services Department's management team, and representing IFAD in various networks and committees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and promote a strategic vision that translates IFAD's corporate and departmental mandates, strategies, goals, and objectives into a divisional programme of work.
  • Provide leadership in policy development and advice, ensuring that divisional goals and objectives are supported within the overall Fund mandates and strategies.
  • Manage and supervise the delivery of ADM's programme of work within an allocated budget, ensuring transparency, equity, and efficiency in the management of IFAD's resources.
  • Represent IFAD in official United Nations committees and networks, and in international financial institutions, multilateral and bilateral meetings, symposia, fora, and Global conferences.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships both within and outside of IFAD, including with borrowers, development agencies, UN agencies, and non-governmental organizations.
Requirements
  • Advanced university degree from an accredited institution in a technically relevant area, such as business administration, finance, management, public administration, commerce, engineering, law, or a related field.
  • At least twelve (12) years of progressively responsible and relevant professional experience in technically related areas of operations.
  • Five (5) years' experience in a national or international organization providing global support.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability at leading and managing multicultural teams.
  • Proficiency in main enterprise resource management and related ERP systems and applications relevant to the field of specialization.
Language

English is the working language of the position. Fluency in French, Spanish, or Arabic is desirable.

This is a full-time position, and the selected candidate will be based in Rome, Italy. The position is open to internal and external candidates. The selected candidate will be appointed for a fixed-term period of three years, with the possibility of renewal.
