Space Systems Engineer for Business Development

Are you a space systems engineer looking to leverage your technical expertise in a business development role? Do you have a passion for innovation and a desire to drive growth in the satellite industry? We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Space Systems Engineer to join our team at Tyvak International.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop innovative nano-satellite vehicle solutions for multiple proposals and customers
- Collaborate with the engineering team to collect technical solutions and write full proposals
- Present technical solutions to customers and demonstrate how requirements will be met
- Directly follow up with customers to gather feedback and provide technical clarifications
- Perform spacecraft preliminary design, identify key mission requirements, and liaise with the technical team
- Develop technical budgets, analyses, and trade-offs, and create presentations and reports
- Interact with customers, engage in technical discussions, and concur on the optimal technical solution
- Support the Proposal Manager in creating bid consortia and selecting suitable partners
- Proactively interact with the supply chain to request technical specifications, performances, and costs
- Report to Engineering and Business Development Managers for proposals review and iterations
- Bachelor's degree (Master preferred) in a Space-related technical field
- Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in the small satellites industry
- Strong technical background in Space System Engineering, including mission analyses, system budgets, and thermal analysis
- CAD design/drawing/rendering experience and skills
- Familiarity with EU and International Space Industry players
- Ability to evaluate proposals autonomously and assess project feasibility
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, including Project and SharePoint
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of business finance, budgeting, and economic principles relevant to space projects
- Soft Skills: Ability to self-govern, establish workload priorities, and build professional relationships
