Pharma & Healthcare Account Strategist

Your Role
As a National Key Account Manager - Pharma & Healthcare, you will be part of the Sales & Marketing Function at Kuehne+Nagel.
The Sales & Marketing Function is a fundamental asset to achieve accelerated growth and unparalleled customer excellence, throughout Key Account Management, Key Account Program Management, Customer Solutions development, Sales Systems & Process, and Market Intelligence initiatives.
You will act as the KN representative/CEO of the customer engagement across all offered services and manage the relationship of all assigned Key Accounts, ensuring business retention and the extension of services by providing outstanding levels of customer service.
As a strategic consultant, you will be responsible for understanding customers' needs and requests, proposing solutions that add value and build long-lasting partnerships.
Your ResponsibilitiesAccount Management
- Be the primary point of contact across the entire customer engagement cycle
- Promote a partnership relationship with assigned customers, understanding their organization's specific needs and decision-making process
- Govern virtual account teams, ensuring a global customer representation, collaborating with related Key Account Manager networks globally, and exchanging best practices and sales leads
Business Development
- Identify new opportunities to improve the footprint of business and solutions with assigned customers, ensuring an attractive and sizeable pipeline, and high closing ratio
- Develop and execute Key Account strategy, defining a strategic approach on value proposition and solution, as well as the internal and external positions of Kuehne+Nagel on RFQs and tenders
- Drive and partner with our business units to deliver attractive pricing and service
Customer Excellence
- Lead regular and structured review sessions with assigned customers for updates on customer strategy and priorities, adjustment of our value proposition, continuous improvement and innovation, as well as operational excellence
- Control monthly performance, monitoring volume, profitability, pipeline, overdues, and ensuring immediate actions in case of deviations (i.e. timeliness/accurate reporting)
- Supervise the transition of new business into operations (Business Units) and ensure that customer requirements and Kuehne+Nagel commitments are met
• Bachelor/Master's degree or equivalent experience
• Fluency in English and Italian
• Strong track record of managing large accounts within the healthcare sector
• Strong presentation skills
• Advanced skills in offer negotiation and pricing
