Position: Product & Solution Manager

Overview: As a key player in the Department of Plastic Recycling Solution Management, you will be responsible for driving innovation and sustainability in the field of plastic waste recycling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product/Solution Development: Engage in the formulation and enhancement of a diverse range of replicable and scalable technological solutions aimed at chemical recycling of plastic waste.
  • Sustainable Solutions Implementation: Identify and cultivate effective strategies encompassing technology, engineering, procurement, and construction to ensure the readiness of products for market delivery. Ensure that Saipem's offerings are sustainable and energy-efficient, minimizing carbon emissions.
  • Project Execution: Participate in the implementation of industrialized solution projects to establish plastic chemical recycling facilities. Collaborate with technology licensors to ensure adherence to technical specifications and define performance guarantees to mitigate risks.
  • Market Analysis & Technology Monitoring: Stay abreast of industry advancements and propose areas for product and technology enhancement, overseeing approved projects related to advanced plastic recycling technologies.
  • Research & Development: Suggest R&D topics and oversee the execution of various study streams, ensuring effective dissemination of findings.
  • Business Development Support: Assist the commercial team in promoting and identifying opportunities for Saipem's advanced recycling solutions.
  • Proposal Preparation: Collaborate with the tendering team during project acquisition to determine optimal product configurations and prepare competitive proposals.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English (B1/C1 level).
  • 5 to 10+ years of experience in waste management or mechanical recycling sectors, or in manufacturing related to process modules/plants.
  • Experience in project management as a Project Engineer or Technical Manager, as well as in proposal management during tendering phases, is highly regarded.
  • A strong passion for innovative technologies and processes, with a keen interest in energy transition and environmental sustainability.
  • Adaptability to a start-up environment, leveraging experience from lean and dynamic organizations to foster a product/solution delivery model.

Location: Milano HO. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Contract Type: Permanent position with a salary package commensurate with experience.
