We are seeking a highly skilled Permitting Manager to join our team at Michael Page International Italia S.r.l. as part of our Renewable Energy Projects division. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading international builder and operator of renewable infrastructure, with a strong focus on battery storage projects across the UK, Italy, Spain, and Germany.
Key Responsibilities- Project manage all environmental and civil engineering aspects related to the development of our battery storage projects in Italy;
- Be responsible for the preparation and update of the project plan, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results;
- Manage and monitor the entire authorization process for our battery storage projects and related infrastructures for connection to the grid / RTN;
- Review technical and administrative documents prepared by consultants for obtaining authorizations for company projects in Italy;
- Manage the permitting process, including documentation setup, communication with authorities, and coordination of additional integrations;
- Manage relationships with local and central authorities for the issue of AU / Sole authorization and PAS / simplified authorization permit;
- Coordinate external stakeholders and partners to produce necessary documents for authorizations;
- Collaborate with third-party advisors during the course of activities;
- Develop preliminary design solutions for specific sites, focusing on mitigation and environmental compensatory measures;
- Degree in Environmental Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or Urban Planning;
- Experience in authorization processes (AU, PAUR, PAS) gained in companies operating in the renewable energy sector, with environmental impact assessments (VIA) being a plus;
- In-depth knowledge of technical regulations in the renewable energy / storage sector in Italy;
- Passion for the renewables sector and being part of a purpose-driven business;
- Ability to interact with institutions and public authorities;
- Excellent technical drafting skills, with a simple and straightforward style when advising internal stakeholders;
- Attention to detail;
- Experience in instructing and managing external partners;
- Ability to manage competing priorities, maintaining quality advice and a good work-life balance;
- Fluent and confident in both written and spoken English and Italian;
- Willingness to teamwork, goals-oriented work, and problem-solving;
- Availability for occasional and short trips in Italy;
