Job Description

As a Software Commissioning Technician at Valmet, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our converting fold machines. Your primary responsibility will be to perform software checkout and commissioning, ensuring that all technical specifications are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Test Line Preparation: Compile checklists, verify software with the Technical Office, and check technical and safety requirements necessary for testing.
  • Machinery Testing: Conduct tests in compliance with technical specifications and scheduling, ensuring that all equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Collaboration and Documentation: Work with the team to resolve daily technical issues related to processes, machinery, or tools, and prepare proper documentation records related to test activities.
  • Scheduled Maintenance: Perform maintenance on customer installations to ensure that equipment continues to perform reliably.
  • Training and Support: Train customer staff to manage and maintain the equipment, and provide technical assistance and support remotely or on-site.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education: Technical Diploma or degree in Electronic, Automation, or Information Technology fields.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of Controls Engineering/PLC/HMI programming, experience with Siemens S7, Tia Portal, Simotion, and Rockwell Allen Bradley.
  • Language Skills: Fluent Italian and English.
  • Soft Skills: Strong team working skills, result-oriented, and good interpersonal skills.
