About the Role Our mission is to democratize architectural design and direct manufacturing of homes through a software solution that provides outstanding graphic visualization and user experience. We are in the process of creating the first BIM software that integrates directly with building production. As a Product Owner & Computational Designer, you will be responsible for defining the strategic roadmap, organizing milestones, and crafting user stories for the structural functionalities of our Zuru Home application. Your role will involve documenting epics, user stories, and other relevant materials on GitLab pertaining to structural components. You will collaborate closely with the CTO and CDO of Zuru Tech.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the product backlog, create user stories, and actively participate in scrum events and regular meetings to prioritize product features and roadmap. Provide valuable feedback to programming and design teams. Act as a Computational Designer with an emphasis on system learning and processing. You will collaborate with fellow Product Owners, engage in strategic prototyping before implementation, and facilitate communication with the product design team to ensure their requirements are integrated into a cohesive system-level framework. Make significant contributions to software development, particularly within the Milan BIM Structures group. Work collaboratively with both UX and C++ teams, develop prototypes using Grasshopper, and delegate tasks for efficient feature execution. Participate in the design of hardware features, which includes creating prototypes and collaborating with product designers across various locations to produce an optimal prefab product. Engage in designing the core structural elements of our products, including connections, materials, and the configuration of walls, waffle slabs, and more.

Desired Qualifications:

A minimum of 2+ years of experience with 3D design software (such as Autocad, Revit, Sketchup, ArchiCad, Rhino). Proven experience in Computational Design. At least 3 years of experience working with prefabricated systems. Ideal candidates may have backgrounds such as: - Product designer for mass-produced, prefabricated systems (e.g., furniture, windows, or temporary constructions for events) - Architect or Engineer with experience in Residential, Infrastructure, or Facades design. - Any relevant experience in a Product Design discipline that involves some aspect of product manufacturing will be considered advantageous.
