About the Role Our mission is to democratize architectural design and the direct manufacturing of homes through an advanced architectural design software that excels in graphic visualization and user experience. We are in the process of creating the first BIM software that directly connects to building production. The Product Owner & Computational Designer will be responsible for defining the strategic roadmap, organizing milestones, and crafting user stories for the structural features of our Zuru Home application. You will document epics, user stories, and structural element specifications on GitLab, collaborating closely with the CTO and CDO of Zuru Tech.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the product backlog, create user stories, and engage in scrum events and regular meetings to prioritize product development and roadmap. Provide constructive feedback to programming and design teams. Act as a Computational Designer with an emphasis on system learning and processing. Collaborate with fellow Product Owners, engage in strategic prototyping prior to implementation, and facilitate communication with the product design team to integrate their requirements into a cohesive system-level framework. Make significant contributions to software development, particularly within the Milan BIM Structures group. Work collaboratively with both UX and C++ teams, develop prototypes using Grasshopper, and delegate tasks for effective feature execution. Participate in the design of hardware features, creating prototypes in close collaboration with product designers across various locations to produce an optimal prefab product. Engage in designing core structural components of our products, including connections, materials, and the structuring of walls and waffle slabs, among others.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2+ years of experience with 3D design software (such as Autocad, Revit, Sketchup, ArchiCad, Rhino). Proven experience in Computational Design. At least 3 years of experience with prefabricated systems. Ideal candidates may come from backgrounds such as: - Product design for mass-produced, prefabricated systems (e.g., furniture, windows, or temporary structures for events) - Architecture or Engineering experience in Residential, Infrastructure, or Facades design. - Any relevant experience in Product Design that includes elements of product manufacturing will be considered advantageous.
