Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Solar & Wind Site Manager to join our team in Italy. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our solar and wind power plants, ensuring maximum power production, minimizing costs, and maintaining a high level of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • HSE Compliance: Ensure compliance with local HSE legislation and regulations, as well as company procedures, in the assigned plant.
  • Promote HSE Initiatives: Contribute to the identification and registration of non-conformities, promote corrective and preventive actions, and implement H&S best practices.
  • Main Service Providers: Approve maintenance plans with main contractors, authorize maintenance activities, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Local Operation: Coordinate local operations, operate MV/HV substations, and ensure communication and coordination with the TSO.
  • Reports: Ensure timely and accurate reporting from maintenance contractors, record relevant information, and perform analysis to support decision-making.
  • Cooperation with Remote Operation and Dispatch Centre: Ensure proper coordination with EDPR's remote operation and dispatch centre, transmit weekly maintenance plans, and update maintenance programs.
  • TSO/DSO Interaction: Collaborate with the Asset Manager to fulfill TSO/DSO procedures and ensure proper contact with local TSO representatives.
  • Contractors Management: Ensure proper conservation and optimal conditions of the plants, resolve malfunctions, and manage maintenance contracts.
  • Operation and Maintenance: Ensure fulfillment of scheduled activities, track progress, and report to the Asset Manager.
  • Budget Definition and Follow-up: Define expected OPEX, track and report unplanned costs, and ensure compliance with approved budgets.
  • Management of Emergencies: Responsible for first contacts with internal and external stakeholders in case of accidents or emergencies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to fostering Operational Excellence, promote continuous improvement processes, and adopt a behavior and mindset suitable for pursuing continuous improvement.
  • Company Policy and Legal Compliance: Acknowledge and understand company policies, directives, and procedures, and ensure compliance by contractors.
Requirements
  • Academic Skills: Industrial technical high school diploma; degree in Engineering would be a plus.
  • Languages: Italian, English, Spanish is a plus.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in the wind/solar industry with similar role; previous experience with CMMS tool (SAP PM) would be considered an advantage.
  • Skills/Competencies: Solar and wind technologies, solar and wind plants operations, basics of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, predisposition for interactions with stakeholders and team members, leadership and autonomy at work.
