Responsibilities

As a Commis De Cuisine, you will be responsible for the efficient operation of the kitchen, ensuring that all food items are produced to standard and in a timely manner. This includes carrying out daily and weekly procedures, such as temperature checks, food labelling/dating, and storage. You will also be responsible for producing all required food items, following standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules and guidelines. Additionally, you will ensure that all equipment and working areas are kept clean and in good working condition, and that all duties and responsibilities are maintained and exceeded.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 1 year of kitchen experience in a full-service outlet or similar setting. A hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred. You will also need to have knowledge of the use of broiler equipment, meat and fish cookery, proficient knife skills, and an understanding of the farm-to-table concept. Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency is also necessary. Fluency in Italian and good English language skills are required. Eligibility to work in Italy (only EU Citizens) is also a must.
