Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at Mandarin Oriental, Milan. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fine dining restaurant, ensuring seamless service delivery, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the restaurant staff, ensuring efficient service delivery and maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
  • Monitor and control food and beverage costs, inventory, and labor expenses.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to design and implement new menu concepts, promotions, and events.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and company policies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest complaints and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic, and promoting a positive and inclusive team culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment, with a proven track record of success in restaurant management.
  • Excellent knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and cost control.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
