About the Position

The Product Manager for Commercial UPS and Light Industrial UPS portfolio is responsible for implementing an optimal portfolio in line with customer and market requirements. This involves ensuring the right product positioning depending on local market needs, internal and external product benchmarking, and managing the product life cycle.

Main Responsibilities
  • Report on revenue, VM, price, and cost reduction targets, and highlight product or market issues to the business.
  • Lead internal processes to define and implement the AEG portfolio roadmap in close collaboration with business development, marketing, and sales.
  • Manage the product life cycle and develop marketing strategies.
  • Analyze and gather feedback from sales, marketing, business development, and the market (competition analysis).
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the current portfolio, future portfolio roadmap, and pricing of the portfolio.
  • Propose the optimal supply chain for OEM or ODM products and assist Operations with implementation.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing in negotiating contracts with new and existing OEM or ODM suppliers to ensure technical and commercial support.
  • Prepare and maintain portfolio specifications and requirements for existing products, new product development, or purchasing products (OEM or ODM).
  • Ensure all necessary information is available for product launches.
  • Create and maintain a portfolio roadmap.
  • Develop business cases for new product features or development.
  • Ensure cost effectiveness in new product development and/or improve existing products in close collaboration with R&D and procurement.
  • Maintain training and technical information for Sales, Field Application Engineering, Application Engineering, and Service to support their activities during the product lifecycle.
  • Prepare and lead product presentations and publications.
  • Define the AEG PS global portfolio strategy in line with managing board and business strategies.
  • Support Legal Entities with product information and planned technical trainings.
  • Interact with suppliers (main Factory, R&D, and Sales Teams) for product development of AEG PS Commercial UPS OEM & ODM products.
  • Prepare price lists for commercial UPS products and approve price requests outside of the standard product range or pricing strategy.
  • Approve bid requests that require Engineering, R&D, or supplier resources/changes.
Requirements
  • Must be an Electrical Engineer or similar.
  • Good knowledge of electrical systems and power electronic products.
  • Ideal knowledge of competitors' products and service strategies within the UPS sectors.
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical and commercial roles in power electronics industries.
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Fluent in English at least B2.
