Job Title: Operations Manager

At STERIS, we strive to create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science solutions. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Calcinate, Italy.

Job Summary:

The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the AST ITA Plant, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and providing regular performance reports to STERIS management. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, customer management, and quality performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure safe operations of the plant and company by developing an effective safety culture and enforcing safety practices in compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Manage customer relationships and drive customer satisfaction in conjunction with Senior Sales Managers.
  • Provide leadership to ensure continuous improvement of business processes and activities in line with STERIS world-class safety objectives and the Quality Management System.
  • Manage and develop a team of 20+ staff, allocate resources, and assign specific duties to achieve pre-determined commercial and business objectives.
  • Ensure the business operates within and towards the published STERIS Corporate vision and global objectives, including LEAN, 5S, Sustainability, and One Team One Goal strategies.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience
  • Proven technical capability
  • Proven leadership qualities (leading by example)
  • Acute awareness of the importance of safety to the business
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
