YOUR TEAM
You will work in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, collaborating with computational scientists, conservators, chemists, physicists, and heritage experts. CCHT has extensive collaborations with other Research Lines of IIT focused on AI and computer vision, with access to the powerful IIT's HPC infrastructure.
As a team member, your role will be to promote cutting-edge technologies and approaches for digital recording of Cultural Heritage and develop automation routines for digitization of heritage objects and image processing.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Master Degree in computer science or a related field with specialization in Computer Vision/3D/ML – completed or near completion;
- Documented experience in 3D computer vision (e.g., 3D reconstruction from RGBD data, photometric stereo, structure from motion, structured light systems, etc.);
- Relevant experience in the development of 3D reconstruction and scene understanding systems using an active camera;
- Proficiency with programming Python;
- Knowledge of OpenCV, PCL, and Open3D libraries;
- Proficiency in English language (written and oral).
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
- Experience in 3D reconstruction and scene understanding systems for indoor environments;
- Suitable publication record on computer vision-machine learning conferences/journals.
