Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Energy unit. As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, analyzing, and assessing medium and high-voltage substations for power generation projects, specifically renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Layout - Primary plant design and layouts for HV substations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Equipment Specification - Equipment specifications for HV Plant and ancillary equipment, considering factors such as cost, reliability, and safety.
  3. Engineering Design Input - Providing engineering design input to major electrical power projects from feasibility/front-end engineering stages to detailed design/site construction monitoring and commissioning.
  4. Project Management - Project management and coordination with clients and our design teams, including civil, structural, environmental, survey/geotechnical, transport, protection and control, and CAD/BIM team.
  5. Technology Development - Delivering projects in new technologies, such as energy storage, HVDC systems, smart grid solutions, and waste-to-energy.
  6. Client Services - Providing professional services to clients both nationally and internationally.
Requirements
  1. Education - A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with less than 12 months of relevant work experience.
  2. Skills - A methodical approach to problem-solving, ability to use initiative to undertake tasks efficiently and independently, excellent verbal communication skills, and excellent written communication and attention to detail.
