Position Overview

As a Senior Client Success Manager for Enterprise Solutions, you will become an integral part of the Client Success team at Uplight, a dynamic and results-driven group dedicated to providing comprehensive business and technical solutions to our esteemed clients.

The role of the Enterprise Client Success Manager is pivotal, requiring a blend of business acumen and cross-functional collaboration. You will engage closely with clients and partners to ensure that the value derived from Uplight's solutions is fully realized. Your responsibilities will include identifying opportunities to deepen client relationships and guiding them on their journey towards a more intelligent energy ecosystem and effective asset monetization.

In this capacity, you will work in close collaboration with various teams, including Sales, Pre-Sales, Engineering, and Product, serving as the client's advocate within the organization. A solid understanding of energy markets, asset monetization, regulatory frameworks, and the challenges faced by stakeholders in the energy sector is essential.

As a Senior Client Success Manager, you will:

  • Act as a trusted advisor, assisting clients in confirming, identifying, quantifying, and achieving their objectives while maximizing value.
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships, expanding both capacity and program scope.
  • Report on progress towards goals during quarterly and executive business reviews with client stakeholders.
  • Empower clients to become proficient users of the Uplight FlexTM platform, sharing knowledge gained while addressing their most pressing challenges.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Transmission System Operators (TSOs) or Distribution System Operators (DSOs) on behalf of clients.
  • Advocate for client needs by identifying pain points and requirements to inform the Product team's roadmap prioritization.
  • Collaborate with the Uplight Sales team and Project Managers to develop account and program strategies that enhance client relationships and drive additional business opportunities.
  • Work with Client Support to prioritize and escalate issues, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, effectively prioritizing your efforts and those of your team.
  • Develop best practices and thought leadership content based on insights gained from client interactions.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS/PhD in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in customer-facing roles such as customer success, strategic account management, or management consulting, preferably within the energy sector.
  • Experience in developing, operating, or supporting large-scale renewable energy projects (50 MW or larger) in the EU DSO/TSO markets.
  • Proven track record of building senior-level relationships and developing account strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of project finance, contracts, utility interconnection, and construction/EPC issues related to renewable energy.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment and collaborate effectively.
  • Understanding of customer priorities and strategic direction to facilitate account growth.
  • Experience with SaaS product deployment in enterprise settings and working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Multilingual proficiency in English and either Italian or Spanish at a business level.
  • Passion for customer success and excellence.

  • Interest in renewable energy and sustainability initiatives.
  • Familiarity with SCADA protocols.
  • Experience with Customer Success software tools.
