About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Department Manager to join our team at Jefferson Wells. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for managing the production processes and ensuring the achievement of company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage production processes concerning activities such as Production Planning, Assembly, Testing, and Mechanical Machining.
  • Ensure the achievement of company objectives, indicators assigned to the area of expertise, and the maintenance of company quality standards.
  • Support improvement processes by promoting innovation and optimization paths of production processes.
  • Coordinate the management of assigned resources.
  • Support Operations Management in choosing paths to improve company performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety levels and related standards and supervise the progress of the production process within the relevant department.
  • Monitor the progress of costs and production times in compliance with the budget and company objectives.
  • Constantly coordinate with the Planning and Logistics areas, anticipating potential constraints on the production process.

Requirements:

  • Technical degree, preferably mechanical, or Technical Diploma.
  • Many years of experience in the role, gained in complex production contexts.
  • Solid and in-depth skills in the field of Mechanical Machining for cast iron/aluminium.
  • Strong management and organizational skills.
  • Leadership.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate production departments.
  • Written and spoken knowledge of the English language.
  • Ability to relate to internal and external functions in a complex environment.
