Junior Control Center Engineer

Position Overview
Hitachi Rail STS S.P.A. is seeking a motivated and proactive Junior Control Center Engineer who excels in a dynamic work environment. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing a variety of responsibilities, ranging from operational support to strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance for remote and centralized maintenance operations.
- Ensure the initiation, execution, and completion of corrective and preventive maintenance tasks, including logistics and spare parts management.
- Analyze and monitor reliability and maintainability metrics, supporting troubleshooting and fault identification for in-service equipment.
- Maintain and update software and hardware configurations to reflect current operational status.
- Conduct reporting and documentation activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- Up to 3 years of experience in maintenance operations or related fields.
- Proficiency in testing and fault diagnosis.
- Experience in incident and accident investigation.
- Familiarity with relevant technologies and maintenance practices.
- Understanding of railway safety regulations.
- Skills in statistical analysis and data management.
- Competence in using maintenance tools.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Understanding of hardware infrastructures (servers, storage, and blades).
- Familiarity with virtualized environments and network infrastructures.
- Proficient in English, with Italian as a native language.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
Note:
The maintenance operations are conducted 24/7, with technicians organized into shifts.
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent technical experience is required.
Language Proficiency:
Italian as a native language and fluency in English are essential.
