About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team at Amazon's Data Center Operations. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, providing technical support, and driving continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and troubleshoot facility and rack-level events.
  • Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work, and manage external vendors to maintain high standards.
  • Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment and manage external vendors.
Requirements
  • Apprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical field with practice theoretical knowledge in key electrical competencies, and/or knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Ability to draft accurate support procedures, compile system documentation, and issue tracking entries while taking full ownership of technical issues.
  • Driving license valid in Italy and willingness to travel between data center sites, and internationally if required.
  • 3+ years of experience in operations and on-call support for Data Center facilities / or Mission Critical Plants/ Production facilities.
