Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled External Support Specialist for Accreditation and Configuration Management to join our team at Vector Synergy. This role will be responsible for providing expert-level support in configuration management and accreditation, ensuring the highest level of security and compliance for our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date software and hardware inventories for workstations, users, and servers.
  • Network Device and System Management: Conduct thorough surveys of existing network devices and systems, cataloging and documenting them for integration into the configuration management overall document.
  • Configuration Rationalization: Rationalize existing lists (accounts, software, etc.) with organized cataloging and dividing them by user profiles.
  • Inventory and Reporting: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and reports on network devices and systems, including physical and logical location information.
  • ManageEngine Service Desk Optimization: Optimize software and hardware inventory management using ManageEngine Service Desk, including creating custom reporting tools.
  • Security Settings Optimization: Ensure optimal security settings on on-prem and on-cloud services.
  • Group Policy Management: Regularly check and update group policies to ensure compliance.
  • Clean-up and Maintenance: Perform regular clean-up of expired users and maintain a secure and organized IT environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of practical experience in similar roles, with a proven ability to manage configurations, inventories, and security of networks and systems.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, proven Server Administration skills, Second-Level Helpdesk Capabilities, in-depth knowledge of configuration management practices, and advanced skills in managing and maintaining network devices and systems.
  • Desirable: Ability to efficiently and proactively solve complex problems, precision and accuracy in managing technical data and configurations, ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
