About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Facility Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our AWS Infrastructure Services team, you will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the performance of the data centre infrastructure within a specific location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and maintain the highest standard for safety and actively promote a world-class safety culture.
  • Drive improvements and deliver performance against key performance metrics for a significant number of large-scale Data Centres.
  • Deliver 100% uptime on all customer-supporting infrastructure.
  • Strategically plan and execute corrective and preventative maintenance activities on mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Manage strong technical teams and ensure operational excellence and career development.
  • Deliver strategic projects on critical infrastructure and manage vendor performance.
  • Risk Management: adopt and plan corporate risk strategy.
  • Critical Event Response readiness.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant Engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in a high-volume mission-critical operational environment.
  • First-hand knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, employee relations, leadership techniques, operational performance, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Full EU/IT driving license.
