About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Facility Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a critical member of our infrastructure services team, you will be responsible for engineering operations and maintenance across the Amazon availability zone.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the build out of facility-specific infrastructure in existing locations.
  • Manage a team of engineers responsible for the 100% availability of mechanical and electrical services, including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management, and metrics reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of infrastructure services.
  • Conduct financial analysis and contribute to financial decisions.
  • Negotiate and roll out contracts and define and audit SLAs.
  • Manage and develop teams of engineers, providing technical and leadership expertise to ensure highest levels of performance.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of people management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience building strong, successful engineering technical teams.
  • 3+ years of relevant engineering operation experience managing large-scale services.
  • Very good command of English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • University degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or relevant discipline.
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience managing large-scale services.
  • 8+ years of experience building strong, successful engineering technical teams.
