Job Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze equipment and piping data for assessment purposes.
  • Define data requirements from other team members and establish assumptions.
  • Populate data and assess the effectiveness of past inspections with the support of field inspection engineers.
  • Evaluate the probability and consequence of failure for each asset.
  • Assess risk for each damage mechanism and finalize the risk assessment.
  • Generate recommendations to mitigate damage mechanisms.
  • Display assessment results in an approved format and prepare a report.
  • Recommend inspections and ensure that reports are reviewed and approved by relevant authorities.
  • Evaluate potential degradation mechanisms with the support of corrosion engineers.
  • Manage the Asset Integrity Team, including activities and resources.

Experience

The ideal candidate should have a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering and a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in the field. Key skills include:

  • Ability to read technical documentation, such as P&IDs/PFDs/MSDs.
  • Familiarity with data sheets and heat and material balances.
  • Ability to understand inspection reports.
  • Knowledge of corrosion phenomena and damage mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of corrosion and degradation mechanisms affecting upstream and refining industries.
  • Knowledge of API-580/581 principles.
  • Basic knowledge of integrity management methodologies, including RBI, PIM, FFS, etc.
  • Ability to read technical documentation, such as plot plans, PIDs, PFDs, line lists, GA drawings, mechanical data sheets, etc.
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English.

Education

A Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering is required for this position.
