Purchasing Director Italy

To drive our Italy Consumer business units' success, we need a strategic leader with a strong vision. As our new Purchasing Director, Italy, you will be responsible for executing the growth plan, monitoring key performance indicators, and ensuring operational efficiency. This role reports into the VP Italy and has the main objective of continuously improving our customer experience, operational efficiency, and profitability.
Main Responsibilities:
- Execute the strategy and growth plan for our Italy Consumer business units (C2B)
- Monitor key performance indicators to measure effectiveness and efficiency of the existing C2B unit with around 200 employees and 65+ branches
- Ensure recruitment, hiring, training, and personal development of the employees in all Consumer Purchasing business units
- Support and execute planning and initiatives of centralized functions
- Develop a team of Regional and Vice Regional Area Managers to help you control the 200 employees around the Country
- Lead the Real Estate & Procurement team to expand and maintain the buying infrastructure (branches)
- Manage the Customer Service teams (30+) and have the responsibility to supervise and monitor the whole purchasing procedures
Requirements:
- 7+ years leadership experience
- Highly strategic problem solver with ability to drive detailed cross-functional projects, strong analytical skills, and fast decision-making
- Strong operational expertise, with experience in process optimization, operational excellence, and lean office
- Proven track record of personal and professional achievements
- Truly entrepreneurial attitude, driven, restless personality, and a strong desire for growth while always keeping attention to the details
- Exceptional managerial and analytical skills with the ability to work and manage in fast-paced and dynamically changing environments
- International experience in centralized organizations is preferred but not required
- Mastery of excellent verbal and written communication in English and Italian
