Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Raw Material Procurement Specialist to assist with the procurement of raw materials, specifically trims, at Burberry. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining collaborative partnerships with suppliers, ensuring effective procurement and query resolution, and driving the placement of RM activities in line with the procurement critical path.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain collaborative partnerships with suppliers to ensure effective procurement and query resolution.
  • Drive and execute the placement of RM activities in line with the procurement critical path.
  • Support in the RM consolidation and placement across the supplier base with a focus on data quality and format.
  • Assist in optimizing order management, capacity management, and excess management.
  • Assist in tracking and monitoring timely RM/Trim procurement deliveries in line with allocation and priority.
  • Ensure relevant payments are issued to suppliers by issuing Purchase Orders and managing invoicing with the internal accounts team.
  • Implement excess management related activities with suppliers (destruction, recycling, donation, and resell).
  • Assist in coordinating the seasonal/annual review of excess, establishing reasons and suggesting improvement areas for mitigating risk.
  • Participate in the review of supplier performance management feedback and suggest appropriate response mechanisms and actions in accordance with guidance from Manager.

Requirements:

  • Textile Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant Technical Degree.
  • Previous working experience in Sourcing/Procurement.
  • Ideally experience with trim/textile manufacturing.
  • Proven experience working with large technically qualified teams.
  • Experience with negotiation, sourcing, and procurement activities.
  • Fluent in both Italian and English.
