About Us: SMARTENERGY Group AG is a leading company in the renewable energy sector, specializing in the development and management of PV projects. We are seeking a highly skilled Project Development Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Development: Assist the project development department in the acquisition and management of PV projects, including Utility Scale, Energy Communities, Green Hydrogen integration, and BESS, from site scouting to Ready to Build stage.
  • Task Management: Manage the development process up to RtB authorizations for PV projects, including large-scale PV, Renewable Energy Communities, Solar Rooftops, and other self-consumption-based models, as well as energy storage systems and integration with our Green Hydrogen development strategy.
  • Technical Assessments: Carry out preliminary technical and environmental assessments for project acquisition in cooperation with Business Development.
  • Project Coordination: Define and follow up on project development processes, including timelines, budgets, cash flows, and necessary reports.
  • Design and Construction: Monitor the preliminary design of projects, identifying, engaging, and supervising engineering consultants to ensure compliance with permitting, environmental, and construction requirements.
  • Permitting and Licensing: Monitor environmental and construction authorization procedures, supervising permitting and licensing consultants to ensure compliance with design and construction requirements.
  • Grid Connection: Liaise with electrical network operators (DSO and TSO), managing web portals up to grid connection execution.
  • Team Collaboration: Liaise and cooperate with the engineering and construction departments.
  • Communication and Data Management: Manage communications, archives, and data flowing between competence centers and the Italian branch.
  • Feasibility Studies: Knowledge and management of initial feasibility and constraints screening activities studies (GIS analysis).
  • Back Office Support: Provide back office support, including preparation works for filing activities, checklists of request documentation, and general support for development activities.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in developing, asset management, consultancy, or advisory of greenfield PV projects in Italy.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Proven understanding of the Italian regulatory framework related to the energy sector, particularly the development of PV Plants, including environmental and licensing requirements.
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of the Italian electricity system – technical and regulatory, including distributed generation regulations, plus utilities and related interconnection procedures.
  • Language Skills: English proficiency written and oral.
Desirable Skills:
  • Project Management: Project Management or Technical Advisory experience.
  • CAD and GIS Software: CAD and GIS software user.
  • PVSYST User: PVSYST user (plus).
  • BESS and Wind Projects: BESS and Wind projects development frameworks knowledge (plus).
  • Language Skills: Spanish, Portuguese (plus).
