About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Center Facilities Engineer to join our team at Salute, Inc. in Milan. As a key member of our data center operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities, including electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response to emergent issues.
  • Equipment Monitoring: Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and equipment problems, placing service calls when problems remain unresolved.
  • Data Center Operations: Provide comprehensive data center white space support for IT infrastructure, including monitoring, troubleshooting, reporting, and day-to-day maintenance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with senior colleagues, team members, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure operational services functionality meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve client-side problems, and generate end-user performance reports as needed.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of site facility infrastructure, working knowledge of facility equipment, and experience with data center infrastructure equipment and services.
  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, good analytical and problem-solving skills, and good English communication skills.
