About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Center Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a Data Center Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data center infrastructure, ensuring the highest levels of safety, security, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement electrical and mechanical systems for our data centers
  • Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and troubleshoot facility and rack-level events
  • Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work
  • Manage external vendors and collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver operational excellence
  • Participate in the successful delivery of build-out and retrofit of Data Center infrastructure
Requirements
  • Apprentice/trades certified or diploma in an Electrical field with practice and theoretical knowledge in key electrical competencies, and/or knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Ability to draft accurate support procedures, compile system documentation, and issue tracking entries
  • Driving license valid in Italy and willingness to travel between data center sites, and internationally if required
  • 3+ years of experience in operations and on-call support for Data Center facilities or Mission Critical Plants/Production facilities
  • An undergraduate degree in a technical field (EE, MechE, IndustrialE); Project Management experience
  • Solid IT skills; experience and knowledge of MS Office suite
