About the Role:

The Project Manager ensures the successful delivery of each event, taking the lead throughout the planning and execution phase. This includes on-site event supervision and financial administration. The Project Manager promotes new business opportunities, works closely with internal stakeholders, key suppliers, and presents tailored concepts and programs to each client.

  • Develops and implements the strategy for all activities related to assigned projects.
  • Determines client needs and expectations, liaising with the sales team to ascertain client requirements.
  • Selects and negotiates vendors to supply event components.
  • Ensures correct planning and creation of the overall design, producing detailed proposals and costing sheets.
  • Monitors and controls services confirmed before and during the event.
  • Coordinates with suppliers and handles sales/client inquiries.
  • Uses personal judgment and initiative to develop effective solutions to challenges and obstacles.
  • Produces pre- and post-event evaluations for analysis and future service delivery improvement.
  • Implements standard and best practices across all markets for consistency.
  • Stays up-to-date with industry news and new product ideas.
  • Attends business trips as requested.
  • Identifies marketing and sales activities in cooperation with the team.


To Succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Degree in tourism, business administration, marketing, or event management.
  • Experience in a similar position within the MICE business, DMC, or event agency (3-5 years).
  • Excellent knowledge of main suppliers, with a specific focus on destination Italy and the Far East.
  • Fluency in English is essential; any additional language(s) such as Spanish and Portuguese are advantageous.
  • Excellent project and time management skills.
  • Strong planning and execution skills.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.
  • Sound organizational and MS Office skills.
  • Proven track record of project management and sound negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal management on all levels and manage relations to ensure professional interaction.
  • Expert knowledge of functional areas, applies acquired job skills of depth and understanding of the company and departmental policies.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership and motivational skills when required.
  • Ability to effectively influence at multiple levels with excellent communication skills.
  • Team player, team builder, ability to work both in group situations and also as an individual.
  • Creative thinking for effective problem resolution.
  • Excellent at multitasking and able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
